Christopher K. Mauney, O.D.
Dr. Christopher Mauney is a native of North Carolina. He received his B.S. degree in biology from UNC-Charlotte in 1993. He then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis and received his doctorate in 1997. Since graduating he has practiced in a large group setting and in private practice. In 1999, Dr. Mauney traveled to Bolivia to provide eye care to those in need. He currently participates with HealthNet Gaston to provide eyecare to the uninsured. Recently he became an in-house examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Mauney is active in his church as a choir member and Sunday School teacher. He has served as secretary and president of the Gastonia Kiwanis Club. He enjoys music, sports and playing with his two children in his spare time.
